It’s “highly probable” that positive Covid-19 cases in China will turn up during the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, officials said on December 23, 2021. They warn the gathering of large numbers of overseas personnel means there will be a high risk of transmission, with chances of a small-scale outbreak. But officials said extensive preparations and emergency procedures have already been put in place.
