This presentation helps to raise understanding and awareness surrounding the topic of gender. We explore what gender is and the ways we experience gender from gender roles/norms to our own gender identity and expression. The presentation also discusses what it means to be transgender and what transphobia is and how we see it in our world. Through lecture and open discussion students will also learn skills for responding to anti-LGBTQ bias in their schools and communities and how to be an ally to the transgender community.
