As a Black gay man, when he has struggled and worked hard to make something of and for himself, when he makes a mistake and becomes HIV positive, how his family and friends respond to him is important to his continuing mental and overall health. But, when he can rise above his pain, the rejection, and the hurt, he could realize his potential in life, he is strong, he chooses to live.
