Preventative coping methods are the daily rituals that I implement that allow me to reset my energetic state before I spend too much time resting in narratives that aren’t serving me. There is most definitely a time and space for shadow work, to feel everything that is coming up, to dive deep into the depths of your programming… But after that work has been done, it is important to reclaim your sovereignty and take action over the narratives that are creating your life. Healing can feel like an uphill battle, one where you have to keep showing up day after day, even when the healing is so subtle.

These are the things that work for me! I didn’t mention medication or therapy, both of which I have tried in the past. I’d love to start seeing a therapist again as I find therapy incredibly useful but it’s not mentioned in this video because I wanted to share more widely accessible habits. I am also at a point in my mental health journey where I feel stable enough to cope through these methods for the most part but if you feel you need more intensive healing right now I definitely recommend therapy or speaking to any mental health professional.
