A text does just fine for some and some you will want to have a more intimate coming out and do this in person. Protecting your peace is important. – You don’t have to have all the answers. It’s okay to say “I’m still figuring this out” or “I don’t have the energy to explain everything right now”. – Be prepared and plan for after the conversation as well as the actual conversation. A lot of Trans people experience families abandoning them. Have a support group even if it’s just one person to check in with so you’re not carrying the emotional fall out alone.
