Cambridge is a popular and beautiful city and lies in Cambridgeshire in England. Although the gay scene in Cambridge isn’t large there are some great Cambridge gay bars and clubs to go to. The Dot Cotton club for example has been around for 16 years and is one of the best gay venues in the area. Cambridge’s scene is expanding gradually and the proliferation of gay bars and clubs will follow eventually.
The Dot Cotton club is situated on Clifton Way at the Cambridge Leisure Park and is a popular place where the atmosphere is clean and safe. There are cabaret shows and great music combining into an awesome clubbing experience for the Gay and Lesbian community. A large and inviting club, The Dot Cotton club is a fantastic place to go and because the atmosphere is clean and stylish – you are set for a great night out here.
The Five Bells is another of Cambridge’s gay bars and offers a friendly atmosphere with décor which is gradually being improved. There are quizzes every week and karaoke every third Sunday. The Five Bells isn’t strictly a gay bar but is extremely gay friendly and many are welcome. They may be few and far between but the popular bars and clubs such as the Dot Cotton Club and Five Bells are always busy and you can be sure of a good night out.
As a gay visitor, you will love Cambridge, and as its gay scene evolves, you can be a part of that growth.
