It’s story time! ✨
But if you’re anything like me, you can barely sit still… let alone read a novel, so I will keep this short–so you can watch the video for more details. 🤪
I’ve thought about sharing my coming out story with all of you before, but never quite mustered up the courage to do so. After recently watching Amazon Exclusive series It’s A Sin, only available on Prime Video, I knew it was time. You could say, it struck a chord, or two. It helped me relate to the life experiences of these young men and put myself in their brave shoes… But also, it helped me realize the importance of speaking up and sharing one’s story. How empowering it is. Something I wish I had been exposed to early on in my life. Just maybe, things would have been different for myself. But it didn’t…and it wasn’t, and I have finally come to terms with that. This eye opening series touches on soooo many different themes that really hit home. Starting with the title, “It’s a Sin.” Sadly, that was something I heard time and time again. Being gay is a sin. You aren’t born like that. God doesn’t make imperfect people. You name it, I heard it all. But also the challenges of growing up in a religious family in it self, the fear of coming out to your friends, being scared to be openly gay as it may affect your career, and more. That’s why I invite you to please, watch this series. Today, this new Amazon Exclusive series, It’s A Sin, available only on Prime Video–and is soooo worth the watch. I still have chills and I hope it moves any of you who have yet to get your coming out story off your chest… or maybe going through similar struggles, to be strong and know that it’s okay. You are loved and perfect in your own way. I hope my story, that I will be sharing with you in full tomorrow, inspires you too. Bear with me. It wasn’t easy to speak up, but I am so glad that I finally did and thank Amazon for inspiring me. #Ad
