Dr. Cleo Manago Bio:
Dr. Cleo Manago is a noted behavioral health and cultural analyst. a popular speaker, writer, and Black/African-focused human rights activist. Since 1988, he has founded two often-emulated organizations, including the AmASSI Centers for Black Wellness & Culture, where he is CEO, and, Black Men’s Xchange National (BMX), where he is Chief Adviser. BMX is an anti-oppression and advocacy organization dedicated to the education, defense, and affirmation of diverse Black males. His uniquely sharp perspectives have resulted in appearances on several networks: BET, TV One, Fox News, NBC and CSPAN, etc. National radio includes The Michael Baisden Show and The Tom Joyner Morning Show, and News One Now with Roland Martin. His work has been featured in many mainstream newspapers, and the Final Call. In 2005, Dr. Manago was invited by Min. Louis Farrakhan to speak as an openly same-gender-loving (SGL} man at the Million Man March commemoration at the mall in Washington DC.
