The ‘troubled teen industry’ is big business, and many are run by religious groups whose goal is to take a ‘broken’ teen and turn him or her into a model Christian.
COLEMAN MCNEAR was sent to Project Patch for eighteen months by her father – a Seventh Day Adventist facility in Idaho. Awaiting her there were suffocating rules, harsh punishments (including ‘takedowns’ and being sent out into the wilderness on ‘Phase’) and an expectation to conform to Biblical principles.
