Aruna Desai, Founding Member, Sweekar – The Rainbow Parents of India at the 12-hour #SwasthyaMantra telethon shared that her son was 17-year-old in 2007 when he came out to her as gay. Ms Desai said that it was her who asked him if he’s gay and he hugged her. She says that the first thing her son asked her after coming out was if she still loved him, to which she said that she loves him even more now.
