A relationship can see all forms of struggles and ups and downs. If you see that your man is withdrawing form you then here is what you should be doing.

Don’t begin to panic

As soon as you see that your man is beginning to panic don’t think that it is your fault. Also don’t think that just because he is withdrawing he is going to leave you. Be mature in your approach and stay away from the panic button as that can make things worse.

Give him some alone time

Sometimes men withdraw when they are faced with a problem that they don’t know how to handle and they would much rather deal with it themselves than share it. Giving them their space at such a time is very essential.

Tell him that you are there for when he wants to talk

While you give him space you also want him to know that you care about him. You do not want him to think that you are completely unconcerned. You should tell him that you are giving him some time alone as you feel that that is what he wants. But also tell him that you are going to be there for him when he needs to talk.

Focus your energies elsewhere

Utilize this time to also analyze if you have done something that has put him off. If you feel that that is not the case then channelize your energies elsewhere doing things you normally don’t have time for. That way you can stay sane and out of your man’s way at the same time.

Be patient when he begins to talk

Your man might take his time to open up to you. So you have to learn to be patient. Give him a sound hearing without interrupting him. Make him see that you meant what you said when you told him that you are going to be there for him.

Be open to what he has to say

Have an open mind to what he has to say. Don’t laugh off his problem or tell him that what he did was wrong. But if you feel that his silence was too much to handle tell him that while you are going to be there for him people need to communicate in a relationship.

Don’t offer opinion or a resolution unless he asks for it

Finally, if he just wants you to listen you must do just that. You should offer your opinion or advice only if your man asks for it.
