Wouldn’t it be nice to shed pounds without stressful diets, pills, programs, fad products, and exhaustive exercise? Is it feasible that there is something deep in your subconscious that is causing your body to pack on excess fat? The answer for many of us is yes.

Most people that suffer from obesity are rooted in bad habits. A poor image of themselves and a history of negative self-talk play a big part in the cultivation of those habits. So how do we break out of the cycle of negativity? The answer for many people is self-hypnosis. Your subconscious holds the key.

Step 1: Give your self an information break. Stop watching TV for a week! Stop feeding your mind pictures of the “perfect body”. Commercials are the worst; they constantly flash images of models that are on strict unhealthy diets and are portrayed in ideal environments under unrealistic lighting.

Step 2: Now that you’ve had a mental detoxification its time to find out what’s really going on. Find a comfortable sitting position in a straight-backed chair. Close your eyes and count from 10 to 1 using one slow exhale as you count each number.

Step 3: With your eyes closed, slowly roll your eyes up, right, down, left as you breath slowly in and out. Mentally ask your subconscious for permission to communicate. If you get a positive response, begin asking yes or no questions about your past and see if you can identify the roots of your bad habits. You may be surprised by the answers.
