Ok, i’ll admit it. I was a smoker. I smoked for years, and well, I liked it. I still dream about it, actually. But it got to the point where when I looked in the mirror in the mornings, I started to look old. Not like old man old, but too old for my age. I was also tired. Like, ALL the time. Short walks to the store or up a flight of stairs just wore me out and I was constantly sweating and out of breath. I felt terrible and I looked worse.

I decided then that it was time to do something about my heath before I got to the point where the damage was irreversible. I knew that if I kept up this pace, I was on a one way trip to heart attack land, or worse, cancer land. It was time to stop.

Right around that time I met my wife and she turned me on to the powerful heath benefits of antioxidants, specifically from the juice of the Amazon acai berry. She taught me about how antioxidants reverse the effects of aging and helped to combat all the harmful oxididative free radicals that happened to the body’s cells that contribute to so many diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s, immune dysfunction, cataracts, etc. It amazed me at how much a lack of such a simple, overlooked substance in our diets can really cause so many health related issues these days.

After learning this, I figured, “What did I have to lose?” and so I started taking Acai supplements. and within a couple weeks, the difference was noticeable. Quitting smoking was still of course difficult, but with with the help of a high level of antioxidants being added to my daily diet, I started feeling (and looking) so much better, it got to the point where I felt so bad when I actually did smoke, that I started enjoying how I felt when I didn’t smoke even better, and it made quitting all the more easier.

I know you can read all you want about other people’s experiences with quitting smoking, but the fact of the matter is, until you actually try it and start noticing the differences, you’ll never have a reference point, so I guess what I am trying to say is, it worked for me. So maybe it’s time you tried it? What do you have to lose? Except maybe your health?
