My screenplay “Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin” was 1 of 5 in a pool of 30 selected and developed into a film by my Ghetto Film School peers. “Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin” is a two-minute dialogue short film that explores the complexities of a mother-daughter relationship. Set in the 1970s, this story centers on Ella, a closeted gay black teenage girl who is afraid to come out to her highly religious mother because she fears rejection.
